Collect ingredients for muffins and line baking tin with liners.

In a small bowl whisk together all the dry ingredients.

Using a stand mixer cream together the butter and sugar till light and fluffy.

One at a time add eggs to creamed sugar. Add mashed banana and nutmeg to the mixer and combine.

Slowly add dry ingredients and sour cream a little at a time alternating between the two and folding them in.

Add chocolate chips and gently mix into the batter.

Pre-heat the oven to 375° F and measure out the batter into a baking tin.

Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top of each filled muffin tin.

Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes rotating the pan half way through the baking time.
