🥣 Step-by-Step Instructions
Firstly, in a blender add your canned diced tomatoes for your 5-Minute Blender Salsa. Do not drain off any of the liquid. Then add in your red onion, fresh cilantro, pickled jalapeños, lime juice, garlic cloves and salt.

Place the lid on the blender and pulse everything together until it is roughly chopped. Then turn blender on and allow salsa to blend till it reaches your desired consistency.

Lastly, transfer your 5-Minute Blender Salsa to a serving dish and enjoy! Or if able to make in advance consider allowing your salsa to chill before serving.
Letting the salsa sit in the fridge will let all the flavors meld together and intensify for a perfectly delicious dip. Letting the salsa rest, even for just a few hours, in the fridge will make a big impact.
💭 Top Tips
Onions
If you don't love a strong onion flavor start with a quarter of the red onion. If your onion however is truly on the smaller side you can consider using half of it for your 5-Minute Blender Salsa.
I would consider most grocery store red onions to be on the extra large side so you'll want to go with more of a quarter of it.
If you desire a stronger flavor you can always add in more. But if you start off with too much the onion can definitely take over and become really over powering.
Thicker Salsa
Keep in mind that if you prefer a thicker salsa you can drain off the juices from the diced tomatoes and pickled jalapeños before adding those ingredients to the blender for your 5-Minute Blender Salsa.

🍽 Storing
Fresh 5-Minute Blender Salsa is perfect for storing in the fridge. We like to store ours in a glass mason jar. Sealed properly it should last in the fridge for up to 7 days.
To really maximize it's freshness though, be sure to store any leftover salsa in a tightly sealed container, away from direct light, and in the coldest part of your fridge.
We enjoy fresh homemade salsa on just about everything! But some of our favorite dishes to pair this 5 Minute Salsa with are our Beef Enchiladas, super simple Freezer Burritos, or even our Sheet Pan Breakfast Pizza and Amish Breakfast Casserole.
