🥣 Step-by-Step Instructions
Firstly, pre-heat your oven to 375° F. (You will want to make sure if using frozen berries or butter that they are thawed.)
Next go ahead and dump your berries into the bottom of a 9x13 glass baking dish. Fresh blueberries or frozen both work well. I've found wild blueberries, which are normally my go to in dessert recipes, end up being too soupy for this dish. So do with that what you will.
After the blueberries are added, sprinkle the brown sugar over the the top. Then add your cake mix layer next, sprinkling it evenly over the top.
Cut your stick butter into small slices or pats. (I usually try to get 12-15 cuts out of my butter.) Next place your butter pats over the top of the dish as evenly spaced as you can. Resit the temptation to mix anything - you just want to layer all of the ingredients.
Afterwards place the dish in the oven and allow it to bake for 35 minutes, keep in mind if you are using frozen unthawed berries that it will require a longer bake time.
You'll know your Blueberry Cobbler is done when the edges are bubbly and the crust is nice and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and serve warm with homemade whipped cream or a la mode with vanilla ice-cream and enjoy!

Variety of Baking Methods
There is more than one way to bake your Blueberry Cobbler. Don't hesitate to swap out your glass baking dish for a cast iron skillet or dutch oven if wanting a more rustic sweet treat.

Perfect Cobbler Crust
If you are worried about having a powdery crust you can melt the butter and add it straight to the cake mix before putting on top of the cobbler.
Using a fork, mix the melted butter and cake mix together until it becomes nice and crumbly. Afterwards sprinkle the cake crumbles over the top of your baking dish as normal and place in the oven to bake.
