🥣 Step-by-Step Instructions
It’s finally here, after months and months of testing. This has got to be hands down, THE BEST M&M's Casserole recipe on the internet.
Firstly, DO NOT preheat your oven. Then in a un-greased casserole dish go ahead and pour in a solid base of your classic milk chocolate M&M’s.
Then add a nice thick layer of peanut butter M&M’s. The blue one’s like to stick together so just make sure you spread those out evenly.
Afterwards it’s time to add a layer of crunchy cookie M&M’s. They will seem smaller and rounder but it is okay. Trust the process. They are delicious in this recipe.
Then for my personal favorite M&M's, caramel cold brew! Yummm you can never have enough of these. Afterwards you will want to go ahead and add in your pretzel M&M’s in for a nice crunch.
Following that step, add in your almond M&M’s. Now, this is where things get a little complicated and some times even a little controversial.
We are going to want to add in another bag of M&Ms but this time we are going to use mini M&Ms.
To finish off your M&M's Casserole add a thick layer of caramel and peanut M&M's for the topping. However, be sure to cover that previous layer nice and evenly. You don’t want any of those mini M&M’s peeking through.
Combine
Lastly, you will want to go ahead and give your whole M&M's Casserole a really good stir. Now, I know you might be asking, "Why spend all that time layering if you are just going to mix it up anyways!?"
To that I say, “I don’t know - its science”! But what I do know - without proper layering techniques your flavors CANNOT meld. And speaking from experience we don’t want that!
After being thoroughly mixed you can proceed with the bottling up of your M&M's Casserole in little jars. Then pop on a cute tag with a ribbon and share with all your teachers, friends and neighbors!
You are sure to be the talk of the town with this made from scratch, homemade hit.
💭 Top Tips
We highly suggest you follow this recipe to a T. But if you do decide to change up your M&M's Casserole at all, just make sure you are being scientific about it.
🍽 Storing
Leftovers
In the unlikely event that you have leftover M&M's Casserole you will want to store the leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature. Leftovers should be good for up to 3-5 hours.
Freezing
One thing that I especially love about M&M's Casserole is that it is freezer friendly! Prepare a double batch and store the extras in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 6 months.
When ready to enjoy remove from the freezer and allow to sit at room temperature overnight.
